Originally from Maine, a love of the outdoors is ingrained into my being. All of my favorite memories from childhood revolve around the outdoors - horseback riding, hiking, skiing, water sports, dirt biking, and soccer. As my life has progressed, I’ve added scuba diving and stand-up paddleboarding to my favorite hobbies.
I am a Mom, a Military Veteran, and a former MilSpouse. I had the privilege to spend 14 years on the move with the U.S. Navy and enjoyed duty stations such as South Carolina, New York, Washington, Hawaii, & Guam. I’ve since settled in Virginia and am looking forward to putting down some roots with my amazing teenage daughter and my adorable Cocker Spaniel, Duke.
I love the outdoors because it recharges me. I have not found anything in life that is not made better by nature. The ocean and mountains are my own personal form of therapy and offer a slice of heaven, even when life is tough.
Living on Guam 😆. This is a tough one because of all the amazing places I
have had the pleasure of exploring. My favorite adventure in Maine will always be summiting Mt. Katahdin. It’s a tough day full of boulder-scrambling but it offers such an incredible view and there is nothing better than that feeling of accomplishment when you make it back down to the trailhead (except maybe the leftover pizza we had waiting for us in the truck!).
Favorite Trail Snack: Beef Jerky and Fruit Snacks
I always pack water, sunscreen, insect repellent, a microfiber towel, gloves, a knife, and SNACKS!
