I'm a Navy wife, diving into European life for the first time here in Spain. Thanks to my camping family upbringing, I've always been drawn to the great outdoors. With moves spanning seven states back in the US and a couple of stints abroad, Washington state holds a special spot in my heart (for now, at least). I love the thrill of exploring and discovering the unique experiences of each place. Diving with sharks in Hawaii, bungee jumping off of bridges in Ecuador, and snowshoeing in Minnesota have been some of my favorite activities. But you cannot go wrong with a forest hike! There's something magical about stumbling upon a breathtaking view or spotting a new species in the wild.
Favorite Adventure: One adventure that stands out happened during my summer in Ecuador. Living amidst the chaos of the Amazon Rainforest was a thrill, and a spontaneous weekend trip to Quilotoa Lake left me speechless as the morning mist lifted, revealing a beautiful crater lake. We had to rent donkeys to bring us back up the trail because we were exhausted.
And you better believe I never hit the trail without my trusty water bottle, decked out in a colorful collage of stickers, keeping me hydrated for whatever adventure lies ahead!
Favorite Trail Snack: You can't go wrong with a mix of cheese, pickles, and salami (as long as it isn’t too hot out), plus a stash of fresh fruit and my favorite GoMacro bars.
